RLH Properties, World Wide Technology, Mayakoba, PGA, and Viktor Hovland, Defending Champion of the TOUR, got together to present PGA Mayakoba Championship 2021.

The tournament will take place in November 4 -7, 2021 in Mayakoba, Riviera Maya, Mexico. “The golf course El Camaleón is in excellent conditions to receive the event in two weeks”, said Joe Mazzeo. “Some of the most important things we want to share with you is that we have confirmed 7 of the top 20 best golfers, like Justin Thomas (ranked 7 in the world), Tony Finau (ranked 11), Harris English (ranked 14), Tyrrell Hatton (ranked 17), and Billy Horschel (ranked 20). Of course, the Mexican Abraham Ancer (ranked 12) and the defending champion Viktor Hovland (ranked 15) will also be participating”.

World Wide Technology is adding up to the tournament as one of the main brands sponsoring the event. It is a global technology solution provider with over 7,500 employees around the globe, with operation over 100 countries, including Mexico. They have become part of the PGA Mayakoba and have signed a partnership for the next 7 years, explained Matt Horner, World Wide Technology Executive VP, a long-term commitment with Mexico, that aligns perfectly with the objectives of the company in terms of marketing and developing business in the region.

Golf in Latin American and Mexico has grown and improved a lot since the first PGA Mayakoba took place for the first time 15 years ago. It was the first PGA event outside the United States and Canada, and it is devoted to the Latin American region. Because of that, “it was so important to have Mexican golf players participating, which now we have, and even more that they are between the favorites to win, they have good chances to be champions in their country”, said Joe Mazzeo.

Viktor Hovland, 2020 PGA Champion in Mayakoba mentioned he is willing to come back to Cancun, “the courses are amazing, the people are very friendly, very hospitable, I think I play very well there, and would like to come bake many times in the future.”
