The Costa Rican health authorities have taken the information regarding the worldwide spread of the COVID-19 pandemic very seriously and have implemented the necessary protocols to control the spread of the virus in the country, which is why the Decree to close the borders to prevent the entry of foreigners until June 30th.
All of the golf courses have been open since since May 1
LA IGUANA GOLF COURSE GUIDELINES TO CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19).
We must follow the guidelines and we must do our part to helstop the spread of this global pandemic.
PRIOR TO THE GAME:

Tee-times available from 7:00 am to 3:48 pm. Tee- times intervals every 12 minutes
Tee-time is required to be able to play. You must have a reservation to enter the facilities.
Only one player per cart.
Maximum players per tee-time Four. ( foursomes )
No riders are allow if playing as a foursome. Only Family member can ride together.
Players with any colds or coughs or any symptoms of COVID19 should stay home.
ADVICE FOR GOLFERS ON THE GOLF COURSE:
Hand sanitizing and hand washing should be a rule.
Hand sanitizer stations will be available in the Pro shop, lockers, course restrooms and starting area.
Maintain social distancing (2 meters rule) on tee- grounds, greens and throughout the rounds.
Only four players are allow on the Pro Shop, putting green and driving range at once.
We are frequently cleaning/sanitizing all golf cars high touch areas (i.e. steering wheels, cup holders, seats)
It is probably best to leave the flagsticks untouched for the entire day.
Golf cup lifters were install in all the cups to easy access the ball.
Golfers should only pick their own ball up. If you’re picking up random golf balls, don’t touch your mouth
Bring your own towel to wipe your own golf clubs, bag and balls
Face wet towels will not be available. Only paper towels
Do not share any equipment, such as golf clubs or rangefinders
Beverage cart will be available from 7 am to 3 pm. Food and drinks orders available with special menu.
All water stations were remove. Water available at the beverage car or we can fill you own bottle.
All bunker rakes were remove
All bathrooms wiped down and cleaned every few hours. Hand sanitizers available in every bathroom.
If you are playing with friends and family, check that they are feeling well. If you are playing with strangers, keep your social distance.
Try an elbow bump or a foot bump instead of handshakes at all times. Don’t shake hands before or after your game
Use “gimme” around the cups (2 feet) to allow you to pick up versus put your hand in the cup to retrieve their ball.
Keep scoring on La Iguana App, GPS screen and get it by email.
AFTER THE GAME:
Wash your hands, wash your hands, and wash your hands! Do not touch your face.
Social distancing is as important after a round as it is during the round, so when the round is over golfer must leave the course and the club/facility immediately so that there are no gatherings around the clubhouse area.
Pro shop open at 6:00 am and close at 4 pm. Only four guest allow it the Pro shop at once. (Social distancing)
18 & Green Restaurant will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Casa del Café will be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
