Casa de Campo Resort & Villas – home to the Caribbean’s premier, luxury golf experiences, including the iconic Teeth of the Dog course – is showcasing four fall golf events ideal to enjoy its three superb courses and world-class amenities.

The legendary resort is home to a trio of outstanding Pete Dye-designed layouts: Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore and The Links. Since opening in 1974, Teeth of the Dog is widely recognized as the No. 1 course in the Caribbean. Golf course architecture aficionados call Dye Fore “the most underrated course in the Caribbean.” The Links showcases Dye’s genius for creating thrilling green complexes.

Held Sept. 11 – 15, the 38th Annual Casa de Campo Open will be played on all three courses. The 54-hole individual stroke play event includes competition in senior, super senior, master senior and elite senior divisions for both men and women. The four-day tournament is all-inclusive including four nights of accommodation and starts at $1,735 (per person, double occupancy).

New this year, the 1st Annual Couple’s Golf & Spa Retreat will be held Oct. 16 – 20. The event includes three days of competition in shamble, scramble and best-ball formats with participants also enjoying the resort’s luxurious spa and myriad amenities including lodging. The all-inclusive four-night stay starts at $1,774 (per person, double occupancy).

The 14th Annual Twosome Championship on Dec. 1 –  7 is a mainstay on Casa de Campo’s annual roster of popular tournaments. Accepting entries from both professionals and amateurs, the 90-hole handicapped event includes rounds on Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore and The Links. The all-inclusive six-night package starts at $2,549 (per person, double occupancy) and is loaded with extras.

The Casa de Campo Women’s Getaway with Suzy Whaley is a four-day / three-night event from Dec. 6 – 9. Whaley – the current President of the PGA of America, renowned PGA Professional and one of the game’s top instructors – will host the fun getaway. The stay-and-play is all-inclusive and starts at $1,928 per person (per person, double occupancy). The many highlights include unlimited green fees on all three courses and personal instruction by Whaley at the resort’s new state-of-the-art Golf Learning Center.  PGA  Master Professional Suzy Whaley is the first woman ever elected to serve as an officer of the PGA of America and is the current President of the 29, 000 member association. Suzy is the PGA Director of Instruction at the Country Club of Mirasol in Palm Beach Gardens.

For each event, Casa de Campo also offers an array of fully appointed villas perfect for golf groups and families. The villa options range from three to 11 bedrooms with stylish living areas, a private pool as well as endless creature comforts. From secluded Garden Villas highlighting the area’s abundant flora to the tranquil splendor of the Caribbean coast in an Oceanfront Villa, each style offers contemporary designs.

Daily breakfast, private maid service and full access to a wide range of on-site activities are additional highlights of villa stays.

“We are thrilled to hold four outstanding events for our guests to escape the hustle and bustle and join us here in paradise,” says Jason Kycek, senior vice-president of sales and marketing.  “Fall is the perfect time for an extraordinary vacation to long savor by experiencing our top-rated golf courses, superlative accommodations an array of amenities and activities few resorts can match.”

Teeth of the Dog features Pete Dye’s design hallmarks: railroad ties, vast waste areas, peninsula greens and tees, hand-sculpted putting surfaces and a unique assortment of pot bunkers. Oceanfront holes are astoundingly beautiful, causing Dye to famously quip: “I created 11 holes and God created seven.”

Twenty-seven-hole Dye Fore joined Teeth of the Dog in 2002. Its three nines – Chavon, Marina & Lakes – are distinctive. Chavon features seven holes running atop cliffs dropping 300 feet, Marina meanders down to a harbor ringed by restaurants and shops, and Lakes is artfully crafted across tumultuous terrain.

Located in the interior of the property is the resort’s third Dye layout, The Links. The moderately hilly track with tall Bahia grass framing bunkers and undulating greens presents spectacular Caribbean views. Slightly over 7,000 yards from the back tees and playing to a slope of 126, it is considered one of the most-forgiving courses Dye has designed.
