Los Cabos

San José del Cabo, the historic face of Los Cabos, was born around an 18th-century Jesuit mission. Its colonial center — cobbled streets, the San José church and restored mansions — is today the Gallery District, where the weekly Thursday Art Walk fills plazas and studios.

Los Cabos lives from and for the sea: the Cabo San Lucas marina is the destination's social heart, a horseshoe of yachts, pangas and fishing tournaments that have set world marlin records.

The Arch is the absolute icon of Los Cabos: a granite formation where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean at the exact point called Land's End.

Los Cabos concentrates more championship courses per capita than any Mexican destination: designs by Nicklaus, Norman, Weiskopf and Dye sculpted between desert, mountain and ocean. Quivira, with clifftop holes, and Cabo del Sol's Ocean Course are essential plays.
